The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singers say they are working on some "amazing" new material for their next record.
One Direction say they can't wait for fans to hear some of the new songs they have been writing and recording in the studio over the past week.
The 'Gotta Be You' singers confirmed last week that they were back in the recording studio working on new music, and band member Liam Payne has promised to make their fans 'proud' with the new material.
"Morning recording has been going amazing," Liam tweeted yesterday (13th May). "Having a great time and can't wait for you to hear some of the stuff hope we make you proud xxxxxx."
Fellow One Direction star Niall Horan also tweeted fans about the band's progress on recording the follow-up to their 2011 debut album 'Up All Night'.
"Sitting writing a song with @louis_tomlinson, @harry_styles and @real_liam_payne with @zayn malik is in booth recording his bit on a tuuuune," the 'One Thing' singer posted.
One Direction are set to release their first ever live DVD Up All Night: The Live Tour on 28th May.
