One Direction's Liam Payne Denies He's Dating Leona Lewis: "We're Just Friends" – Audio

The 'Live While We're Young' star tells Capital that recent reports linking him to the X Factor winner are false.

One Direction star Liam Payne has denied that he is dating Leona Lewis, insisting the pair are simply just friends.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer had been linked to the former X Factor champion after he split from girlfriend Danielle Peazer at the end of last month.

The couple were rumoured to have gone on a series of dates, something which the boy band star admits is untrue.

"No there's nothing. No just friends," he confessed.

Leona also recently responded to the claims to call them false, but did admit she is newly single after separating from German dancer Dennis Jauch.

After news of Liam's break-up, band mate Louis was also reported to have split with his girlfriend Eleanor Calder, although the model hit out at this claims on her Twitter account insisting the pair were very much still together.

Meanwhile, One Direction are apparently set to make a return to the X Factor stage this weekend as the live shows of the music reality series kick off.

Ne-Yo and Leona Lewis will also be performing on the night.
