Harry Styles Calls Speech At His Mum's Wedding "The Most Nerve-Wracking Thing Ever"

The One Direction man talks about how he felt ahead of his big speech earlier this summer.

One Direction star Harry Styles has confessed that giving a speech at his mum's recent wedding was the "most nerve-wracking" thing he's ever done.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' star watched his mum marry Robin Twist during a small ceremony back in June.

"I did give a speech and I can honestly say it was the most nerve-wracking thing I've ever done," the boyband star told The Sun. "I practiced on my own for days beforehand, on the sofa reciting it to myself.

"I tried to make it have a bit of everything."

Speaking about the content of his speech, he added: "When everyone thought it was going to be really emotional, I pulled the rug out from under everyone's feet and injected a bit of humour. 

"It seemed to go well," he concluded.

Harry was the best man for his new step-dad on the big day, with Robin helping to raise the singer since he was seven years-old – after his parents split up.

Meanwhile, One Direction are preparing to hit the red carpet in Leicester Square tomorrow night (20th August) for the premiere of their This Is Us movie.
