The 'Little Things' star was hit in the groin by the flying object as the band were chatting to the crowd.
One Direction singer Harry Styles was hit by a shoe thrown on stage during the band's 'Take Me Home' UK tour show in Glasgow this week.
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars were in the centre of the stage at the SECC Arena and chatting to some of the fans when the incident took place.
A first shoe was launched at the stage – which surprise the group – with Harry holding it in his hand as another hit him in the groin.
The curly-haired star fell to the ground, with bandmate Liam checking he was OK as the rest of the group made jokes.
The singer eventually made his way to his feet and had a stretch before the band resumed their set.

The band kicked off their 2013 world tour at London's O2 Arena this past weekend and will continue the jaunt with another gig at the Glasgow venue tonight (27th February) before heading to Cardiff on the 1st March.
Meanwhile, the band were recently celebrating a huge night at the BRIT Awards 2013 in which they performed new single 'One Way Or Another' and won the BRITs Global Success prize.
