After the tragic news of Louis Tomlinson's mum Johannah Deakin passing away at the age of 42, fans of the group have decided to donate money to a charity close to Louis' heart.

Louis is a patron of the The Eden Dora Trust, which is a charity that supports children with encephalitis and before the sad news broke, fans were originally attempting to raise money in honour of the star's birthday, which is on 24th December.

On the fund raising web page, fans wrote the following statement:
'Louis Tomlinson has done so much for fans and The Eden Dora Trust so we, the fans, would like to give back. In honor of his 25th birthday, we are collecting donations for The Eden Dora Trust.'
'We are so saddened to hear about Jay's passing. We'd like to dedicate our drive this year in her memory. She was always such a big supporter of charities and I hope she knew how much she inspired others. "C'mon, mum let's make someone happy today'

At the time of writing, the total amount donated stands at $13,531 and is rising really quickly with fans clamouring to support Louis at this time.
