The 'Army Of Two' singer has caused fans to speculate he may join the band on the road next year as well.
Olly Murs has been confirmed as the opening act for One Direction's upcoming tour dates out in Japan, amid online speculation he may also join the band on their 'Where We Are' stadium tour of the UK next year.
One Direction are currently on their 'Take Me Home' tour in Australia but will perform a number of dates in Japan next month, with band member Niall Horan tweeting to say he can't wait for Olly to open their show.
"@OllyOfficial Murs buddie! Can wait t have ya opening for us in Japan! It's been ages since I seen ya!" Niall tweeted to 'Right Place Right Time' singer Olly over the weekend.
"Will be awesome man! Hope you've got FIFA14 on your tour bus!" Olly then replied. "It's on son! Make sure @Real_Liam_Payne is ready too!"
The pair's Twitter exchange also led fans to speculate that Olly may end up as one of the support acts for One Direction's 2014 stadium tour across the UK.
Olly Murs re-releases his album 'Right Place Right Time' with new songs on 25th November, the same day of release as One Direction's new album 'Midnight Memories'.
