Nicole Scherzinger Rubbishes Chris Brown Romance Claims: "We're Definitely Just Mates"

The 'Try With Me' singer has laughed off claims of a romance and says they have been friends for years.

Nicole Scherzinger has opened up about the difficulties of being in a long-distance relationship as well as laughing off recent claims she cheating on boyfriend Lewis Hamilton with R&B star Chris Brown.

Last month pictures emerged online of 'Wet' singer Nicole embracing US rapper Chris in a Hollywood club, with a representative later claiming they were simply catching up, and Nicole says they are just old friends who have known each other for years.

"You are always going to have people saying something or having a picture," Nicole revealed to The Sun this week. "But it is complete dross if you and your partner know what the truth is.

"Chris Brown and I are definitely just mates, I have known him since he was younger than 16," she explained. "We were just talking. It's the same when Lewis had some random girls sitting in the lobby. Can't girls just be sitting in the lobby?"

The 'Try With Me' star, who is currently serving as a judge on The X Factor UK, went on to say that although it can be difficult to maintain a long distance relationship, you have to "fight" for it if it's worth it.

"I wouldn't wish a long-distance relationship on anyone, Lewis would say the same," Nicole added. "But if it's worth it, you fight for it. We try to see each other as much as possible."

Last week Nicole was pictured enjoying a night out with fellow The X Factor UK judge Tulisa Contostavlos and some of the show's contestants at Mahiki club in London, for her act Rylan Clark's birthday.
