The 'Turn Me On' rapper will release new material within the next few months according to her record label boss.
Nicki Minaj's second album is reportedly on track to be released ahead of schedule some time in early 2012.
The 'Super Bass' rapper may also release new material before the end of this year, according to Cash Money Records founder Bryan 'Birdman' Williams.
"Nicki's back in the studio, so we're looking to drop Nicki in the first quarter," Brian told Billboard this week.
The producer also teased that Nicki's first single from the new album may even be released in the remainder of 2011.
"Maybe this year? I don't know," he teased. "We're really thinking it out.
"But she's in the studio, and we're looking real soon, because she's ready to go and we're ready to go with her."
Nicki released her debut album 'Pink Friday' in November 2010 and has gone on to feature on tracks with several notable artists including Drake, David Guetta and Willow Smith.
The 'Fly' rapper gave an emotional acceptance speech at the American Music Award on Sunday (20th November) where she received awards for Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Artist and Favourite Rap/Hip Hop Album.
