The 'Pound The Alarm' rapper says she loves to break up the monotony by teaming up with other pop stars.
Nicki Minaj says she loves collaborating with different artists and would head into the recording studio with "anybody from any label" if the chemistry was right.
The 'Va Va Voom' rapper says she has new team-ups on the way with several big name stars, including Ciara, and loves to break up "the monotony" of being a solo artist by working with other artists.
"Anybody from any label, from any genre can send me a song and I'll freak the verse," Nicki told MTV, when asked about how she goes about picking collaborations. "That keeps me changing, it breaks up the monotony of me focusing on one thing, or one voice or one sound because I can always experiment."
The 'Starships' rapper went on to tease a future team-up with 'Goodies' singer Ciara on her new album, and said she is "so proud" of what they have worked on together.
"I was supposed to only do one song for her album and I think I'm going to end up doing two," Nicki teased. "I just love what she's doing and I'm so proud and I'm really excited for people to hear it."
As well as working with Ciara on several new team-ups, the 'Pound The Alarm' star has also got into the recording studio with the R&B star's rapper boyfriend Future.
"People are going to love the one with Future. It just feels right," she added. "All the dudes like it. I just went in and just did my verse and just felt, his music reminds me of my mix tape music."
