The 'Pink Friday' rapper has been told to rest by doctors following the reoccurrence of voice problems.
Nicki Minaj has been forced to cancel her appearance at the V Festival this weekend at the last minute due to illness.
The 'Pink Friday' rapper had been due to headline the second stage at the joint festival, which takes place over two sites in Stafford and Chelmsford today (18th August) and tomorrow (19th August).
But organisers said Nicki had been unable to travel to the UK following the reoccurrence of a vocal problem.
They said in a statement: "Miss Mina'’s band and crew have all arrived in the UK ahead of the performance at the festival this weekend, however as the artist herself boarded her flight from New York on Friday 17th August, she felt unwell again.
"This is despite having thought she had overcome her vocal chord issues from earlier in the week.
"Having revisited her doctor she has now been advised to rest for a week, which unfortunately means that she is no longer able to perform at V Festival."
Organisers added that they wished Nicki a "speedy recovery" and said LMFAO would now climb up the bill to take her place.
Nicki Minaj had hinted earlier this week on Twitter that she was struggling with voice problems, but still performed two gigs in New York, which saw her joined on stage by Drake.
"It's official, my voice is GONE!" she wrote.
Ed Sheeran, Tinie Tempah, Example and Labrinth are among the other acts set to perform at V Festival this weekend.
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj is due to return to the UK in October on her 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' tour, which will feature support from former The X Factor star Misha B.
