The Maroon 5 frontman speaks out over reports concerning his fellow The Voice coach.
Adam Levine has defend Christina Aguilera following recent reports over the singer's image and weight gain.
The 'Dirrty' star has hit out at the comments herself in recent weeks as she recalled how she was made to stay thin during the early days of her career.
"People shouldn't say those kind of things, because, f*** you! Come on guys, grow up," the Maroon 5 man told reporters at a recent press conference, reports the Huffington Post.
He continued: "It p**** me off, and of course I have her back, of course I defend her. It's not nice to just have your bread and butter be trashing other people. That's bullying."
The 'One More Night' singer admitted to People magazine recently that he felt celebrities were easy targets for such comments on their appearance.
"The one thing about the culture right now, celebrity culture particularly, is people feel like they can just say nasty things about other people whether it's Christina or whether it's me."
The pair have been involved in some heated exchanges during The Voice but have continued to deny reports of any feud.
The artists also teamed up for Maroon 5's smash hit 'Moves Like Jagger', and Christina recently admitted how much she will miss her "brother" when she steps down form her position on the hit music reality show.
Cee Lo Green is also set to depart from the next season of the show, with Usher and Shakira set to fill in as their replacements.
