Adam Levine And Nicki Minaj To Launch New Clothing And Accessory Range For Kmart

The Maroon 5 frontman and 'Starships' rapper have inked a deal to release exclusive new products through the US retailer.

Adam Levine and Nicki Minaj have announced a new partnership with US brands Kmart and ShopYourWay.com to each launch their own apparel and accessory collections later this year.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam and 'Beez In The Trap' rapper Nicki had hinted at the new deal earlier this week on Twitter, and the news was officially announced yesterday (8th January) with both admitting they were "excited" about their new endeavour.

"We are thrilled to align Kmart and Shop Your Way with two of America's superstars, " the Executive V-P and President of Marketing* Online at Sears Holdings said alongside the announcement. "We welcome Adam and Nicki into our world and look forward to capturing their energy and creativity on ShopYourWay.com and translating it into unique apparel, accessories and other merchandise."

"I am so excited to work with this iconic, mass retailer and to bring affordable fashion to my beautiful Barbz all across the US," Nicki said in a press release, while Adam added: "This line was an exciting opportunity for me and I am really looking forward to diving into the process of designing an apparel and accessory collection."

Both pop stars' respective collections will be made available at select Kmart locations once the ranges launch, which are expected to be integrated with "fun social experiences" to reflect their personalities.

'Moves Like Jagger' singer Adam also announced plans this week to make his debut as a host on US sketch show Saturday Night Live later this month (26th January), fresh from the success of Maroon 5's album 'Overexposed' and Billboard Hot 100 number one 'One More Night'.

Nicki Minaj is currently preparing for the launch of the new season of American Idol, which sees her join returning judge Randy Jackson and fellow new arrivals Mariah Carey and Keith Urban on the show's panel.
