Lady Gaga And Katy Perry Among Stars To Pay Tribute To Etta James

The 'Marry The Night' singer is the latest star to post a tribute message to the late soul singer.
Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are the latest stars who have paid tribute to the late Etta James.
The 'Born This Way' singer posted a simple tribute message to the 'At Last' singer, who passed award on 20th January at the age of 73 following complications from leukaemia.
"Tonight I will have one whole quart of brandy for Etta," Lady Gaga tweeted.
Katy Perry also wrote a short post after hearing about Etta's death when she tweeted: "rest in peace songbird #EttaJames."
Kelly Rowland, Will.i.am and Emeli Sande have all posted similar tributes across Twitter over the weekend.
"CLASSIC. ONE OF A KIND. PURE SOUL. ETTA JAMES! Thank You for gracing us with your incredible talent and presence!" Kelly Rowland wrote.
"Showing respect appreciation and love for all the wonderful music and joy #ettajames brought to the world… #ettajamesforever," Will.i.am tweeted.
BRITs Critics Choice winner Emeli Sande said: "So sad to hear about the loss of Etta James but I know she has inspired so many musicians that will carry her light for years to come."
Etta James most recently featured in a sample on Flo Rida's Vodafone Big Top 40 number one 'Good Feeling', and was most well known for classic songs such as 'At Last', 'Tell Mama' and 'I'd Rather Go Blind'.
