Lady Gaga Sells Six Million Bottles Of Fame Fragrance In One Week

The 'Marry The Night' star's black perfume has become the second fastest selling after Coco Chanel.

Lady Gaga has announced that she has sold six million bottles of her Fame fragrance in one week.

The 'Bad Romance' star's perfume has now become the second fastest ever selling after Coco Chanel, she revealed.

The US star took to her Twitter account to deliver the news to her fans and thanked them for the "overwhelming" show of support.

"The reaction to FAME has been overwhelming. 6 million bottles in 1 week makes it the 2nd fastest selling fragrance after Coco Chanel," she tweeted.

The singer launched the perfume at the Guggenheim museum in New York City earlier this month and shocked those in attendance when she stripped to her underwear and received a new tattoo on the back of her head on stage at the event.

Gaga also recently appeared at a launch event in Paris and is currently on the European leg of her 'Born This Way ball' tour.

She caused controversy recently when she was seen smoking marijuana on stage at her gig in Amsterdam and spoke of the "medical wonders" of the drug.

The 'You & I' singer has also been criticised recently for gaining weight - something which she hit out at over the weekend as she hailed the "real beauty" of Marilyn Monroe.
