Kelly Clarkson: New Album 'Stronger' Is My Best Yet
The 'Mr. Know It All' singer has said her new album 'Stronger' is her best yet.
The album, which is released next week (21st October), is Kelly's fifth full-length studio effort and follow-up to 2009's 'All I Ever Wanted'.
The US star said she had gone back to basics with the album and stopped using Auto-Tune, which changes singers' vocal sound.
"It sounds so much better than the others. Sometimes people get hold of us pop girl singers and compress the hell out of our vocals," she told Metro.
"Even voices that don't need Auto-Tune get it, so you have all these robotic voices. I wanted this record to sound like my live vocals."
Kelly went on to add that she was upset her debut single 'Since U Been Gone' had been Auto-Tuned.
"I understand why people use it for texture but I grew up listening to Patsy Cline and Aretha Franklin – they weren't perfectly 'on' all the time," she added.
Kelly's new single 'Mr. Know It All' is out now.
