The 'California Gurls' singer used herself as the inspiration for her guest-hosting duties on the iconic sketch show.
Katy Perry hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time this weekend with a show featuring several notable guest stars.
The 'Last Friday Night' singer showed off a new blonde shorter hair do during the live sketch show, and gave an opening monologue dressed in a bright red dress adorned with Christmas decorations.
Katy's appearance included several references to her many memorable music video outfits, with Bridesmaids star Kristen Wiig joining the singer on stage dressed in her notorious 'California Gurls' attire.
The 'E.T.' singer took part in several sketches to parody her pop peers like Christina Aguilar and Florence Welch, and also poked fun at her own career as well.
It was previously reported that Katy sought advice from husband Russell Brand in hosting the iconic show, following his stint as guest host in February this year.
This weekend's Saturday Night Live (10th December) also featured guest appearances from Matt Damon, Val Kilmer and Alec Baldwin as well as performances from 'Call Your Girlfriend' singer Robyn.
