The 'California Gurls' singer reveals details of her upcoming appearance on the US show.
Katy Perry has been seeking guidance from her husband Russell Brand before she hosts Saturday Night Live (SNL) this weekend (10th December).
The 'Teenage Dream' singer is feeling prepared and up for the challenge of following in her husband's footsteps.
Speaking to MTV News, the star said: "It's not as intimidating when you get here because it's a bit smaller than it looks on TV, and I'm up for a challenge, for something new. I love to be challenged... I married Russell Brand."
Russell hosted the show back in February and Katy has been stealing all hints and tips possible from her husband.
"My husband, of course, every day I call him and I'm like 'this happened' and he's like, 'I know what that means and here's the next play-by-play for tomorrow,' so he's gotten me really prepared for this week, thankfully," she revealed.
Katy also teased what fans can expect when she takes hosting duties of the comedy show.
"Well, you're gonna see some Hello Kitty, some cockney accents, maybe, and some me flubbing my lines, probably laughing out loud at Kristen Wiig 'cause she's amazing," she confessed.
Meanwhile, Katy and Russell have denied rumours that their marriage is on the rocks and were recently pictured attending a red carpet event together.
