The 'Part Of Me' singer has discussed appearing in the film with mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Katy Perry has been approached about appearing in a movie documenting the life of Britain's Got Talent star, Paul Potts.
The 'Part Of Me' star is understood to have discussed the movie with esteemed movie mogul Harvey Weinstein at the Oscars.
He is believed to be keen for Katy to play Julie-Ann, the wife of Paul, who won Britain's Got Talent in 2007 and has gone on to become a big opera star.
"I was talking to Katy about a new project, a possible dramatic role in the Paul Potts movie, which will be shooting in England soon," he told the New York Post.
"We'd really like someone like Katy or Adele to play the role of Potts' wife, and Katy seemed genuinely interested."
This week, Katy revealed her ambition to move into acting at some point in her career, but admits she is quietly cautious about choosing her first live-action film role.
Katy is currently preparing to release the updated edition of her second album 'Teenage Dream', which will include three new tracks.
