The 'Firework' singer's mum says she won't watch her daughter on MTV as the star discusses her "rebel" phase.
Katy Perry has unveiled a new teaser clip form her upcoming debut 3D concert movie Katy Perry: Part Of Me which shows the star discussing performing on MTV for the first time with her heavily religious parents.
The 'I Kissed A Girl' star can be seen asking her mum if she would watch her on the music TV show, to which her mother responds "no" adding: "I'm not going to watch you if you've got half your clothes off".
The footage features an 18-year-old Katy talking to camera about how she feels she may be enduring somewhat of a "rebel" phase in her life.
"I thought that I was never allowed to think for myself and all of a sudden my heart wants to do all kinds of things," she confesses, adding: "I guess I'm just going through a rebel phase I don't know."
The star's movie will hit cinemas on 5th July, and the singer recently admitted that it will feature "everything" – including details on her marriage breakdown to Russell Brand.
Meanwhile, Katy will be taking to the stage at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (9th June) for Capital FM's Summertime Ball 2012 performing with the likes of Jessie J, Kelly Clarkson and opening act Coldplay.
