The reality star and 'Watch The Throne' rapper are still waiting for Kim's divorce to be finalised.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are reportedly planning to have a commitment ceremony following news they are expecting their first child together.
The 'All Of The Lights' rapper announced at the end of 2012 that he and the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star were to become first-time parents, and the couple are now said to be keen to cement their relationship with an exchange of rings and vows.
Because Kim is still waiting for her divorce from husband Kris Humphries to be finalised the couple are unable to have an official wedding, so have instead opted to hold a "low-key" ceremony in front of friends and family in the meantime.
"Kanye is very traditional," a source told The Sun this week. "He'd have liked to marry Kim now they are having a baby.
"But with Kim still married to someone else, there is not much he can do," they explained. "It won't be official like a wedding because Kanye wants that to be extra special when the time comes.
"But they will still exchange rings, they just won't wear them on their wedding fingers."

The reports suggest Kim and Kanye will hold a private party at a Malibu beach mansion before then heading off on a trip away together.
Kanye West is currently hard at work on his sixth solo studio album, following 2010's 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy'.
