The 'One Shot' singer tells Capital FM that he wants to put the footballer's famous back-flip to shame this weekend.
JLS singer Aston Merrygold has revealed that if he scores at this weekend's Soccer Aid tournament he wants to perform a back-flip goal celebration that will put Manchester United star Luis Nani "to shame".
The 'Take A Chance On Me' star will be taking to the field at Old Trafford on Sunday 27th May alongside the likes of Olly Murs and Robbie Williams in an all-star England team to face one made from the rest of the world and told Capital FM about his plans should he find the net on the day.
"It's not just one back-flip – I reckon I'm going to put Nani to shame and try and do something a little bit special," he confessed.
Portugese star Nani is known for performing acrobatic goal celebrations when he scores for the Premier League side and Aston will be looking to continue his form from training after band mate Marvin Humes revealed the pair had been scoring goals already.
Yesterday (23rd May) he tweeted: "Great first day training..Ast and I got 3 goals between us! Won 3-2 in our training game! Was hot though! Not complaining!!! @socceraid Mx"
Meanwhile, Aston and the rest of the band recently returned from Las Vegas where they gave singer Marvin Humes his stag do.
His fiancé Rochelle Wiseman recently told Capital that she wants to have a "tacky hen do".
