Capital FM unveils the results following our poll on Facebook and Twitter.

Jessie J and Rihanna have been named among the top female music stars of 2011 by Capital FM fans.

We asked out Facebook and Twitter followers to select which male artists had done it for you over the last 12 months – and now its time to reveal who came in at number one.

The top ten female music stars of 2011 includes some of the hottest stars on the planet, including Jessie J, Rihanna and 'Young Foolish Happy' singer Pixie Lott.

Taylor Swift also made an appearance in the final ten, along with Britney Spears, who embarked on her worldwide 'Femme Fatale' tour in 2011.
