The 'Price Tag' singer says she has no right to claim she knows everything and is still "queuing up for the ride" herself.
Jessie J has admitted she feels she is in the "same boat" as the contestants auditioning for The Voice UK because they are all going on the same musical journey.
The singer told Capital FM that everyone involved in music is the same "we're just at different stages".
She said: "I'm still queuing up for the ride. Who am I to come in and go 'I know everything' – no way. I'm learning things from the artists that are auditioning. At the end of the day we're all in the same boat – we're just at different stages.
"I look at Tom and go I wanna be as respected and as credible as you when I'm your age and he looks at me and goes 'what's Twitter?'
"It's a wonderful thing to be apart of. It's celebrating music and vocals and that's everything I want myself to be defined by."
The new music show premiered this past weekend on BBC One and the singer is reportedly on the wish list of X Factor boss Simon Cowell for the upcoming new series.
