The 'Midnight Run' rapper has written a pop song for the 'Warzone' boy band that he knew would be perfect for them.
Example says The Wanted are "good lads" and insists he was happy to write a new song for the five-piece band.
The 'Stay Awake' rapper first revealed back in November he has penned a ballad for the 'Glad You Came' singers, and says he knew straight away the track was right for them.
"I wrote a song for them called 'Chasing The Sun' and it's great," Example told the Daily Record. "They went into the studio yesterday and Max even cryptically tweeted that it was a tune.
"I just wrote the song and their label expressed an interest about taking it on."
Example explained he initially thought 'Chasing The Sun' would suit a solo artist like Kylie Minogue or Enrique Iglesias but eventually realised The Wanted were the best fit.
"As soon as someone mentioned The Wanted, I thought it was right. It's all about how they go after the sunshine and the message is partying and fun, free living, let's be young forever."
The rapper added that Max, Jay, Tom, Nathan and Siva have made some "good pop songs" and says he gets on with them well.
Example released 'Midnight Run' as the fourth single from his third album 'Playing In The Shadows' on Sunday (4th December).
