Emeli Sande On Winning At The Q Awards 2012: "This Is A Big One" - Audio

The 'Abide With Me' singer says she feels happy to be acknowledged for her debut studio album.
Emeli Sande says her win at the Q Awards 2012 today is a "big one" and admits it is nice to get "that type of acknowledgement" from the music industry.
The 'Next To Me' singer picked up Best Solo Artist at today's awards ceremony at the Grosvenor Hotel in central London (22nd October), and says she enjoys the recognition from awards shows in general.
"I won Best Solo Artist. Absolutely, this is a big one," Emeli revealed to Capital FM after her win today. "It's a bit competition so it was really good. I'm very happy about this.
"It feels great, for me, these types of awards ceremonies," the Scottish singer explained. "It's about the recognition and Q have supported me from the very beginning.
"It feels really nice to get that type of acknowledgement," she added.

Fresh from her win of Best Solo Artist Emeli also announced a new seven-date UK tour kicked off in March 2013 across cities including Brighton, Bristol and London.
The Q Awards 2012 also saw the likes of Plan B, Blur and Muse all pick up awards.
