The 'Next To Me' singer has been tipped for huge success in the US by the rap superstar.
Jay-Z has confessed that he thinks Emeli Sande can be a huge superstar in the US and compared her talent to that of Adele.
The '99 Problems' rapper told the Daily Star that he thinks the Scottish singer's voice is "unique" and she will "no doubt" be "big" in America.
"Emeli has the talent to be big in America, no doubt," he declared. "She has a unique sound and she is going to be a big deal. There is a great tone to her voice. She is going to sell a lot of records."
The 'Read All About It' singer has had a triumphant year already in 2012 after stealing the show at the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics and recently hit the top of the charts with her Labrinth collaboration 'Beneath Your Beautiful'.
Jay also teased the possibility of the singer teaming up with his wife Beyonce.
He said: "I read it's her dream to work with Bey and all I can say is you never know."
He also highlighted the talent which is required to break the American market.
"You have to be extraordinary to break into the US," he added. "If the talent is there, it can be done. Adele is proof of that."
Meanwhile, Emeli recently confirmed that she wrote a song for Rihanna's new album 'Unapologetic'.
She was also presented with the James Joyce Award from Ireland's UCD this week for her achievements in music.
