The 'Lego House' took to the stage in New York last night.
Ed Sheeran has revealed that he was in high spirits following his first sold out US show at New York's Mercury Lounge last night (30th January).
The 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' star had expressed his excitement for the show earlier in the day via his Twitter account.
"Day of promo in New York and then my first sold out US show tonight! I'm looking forward to it," he tweeted.
Shortly following his appearance he logged straight back onto his social networking account to let his fans know how much he enjoyed the gig.
He wrote: "What a fun show. New York, I love you!"
The 'Drunk' star will perform a second sold out show at the venue this evening (31st January) before heading to Los Angeles on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Ed was recently forced to unveil additional dates to his previously announced autumn UK tour due to high demand after he sold 78,000 tickets in the first day of sales.
