Capital FM have unveiled the results of our poll to find your favourite male music star of 2011.

We asked our fans on Facebook and Twitter which male artists had done it for you over the last 12 months – and now its time to reveal who came in at number one.

The top ten male music stars of 2011 includes some of the hottest stars on the planet, including One Direction's Harry Styles, Ed Sheeran and Labrinth, whose hit 'Earthquake' has been described as one of the songs of the year.

Example also made an appearance in the final ten, along with The Xtra Factor host and chart star Olly Murs.
