Ed Sheeran Says His New Music Is "Nuts"

'Lego House' star is busy working on tracks in Los Angeles.

Ed Sheeran has updated fans on the progress he is making with his new music project in America.

The 'Lego House' star travelled to Los Angeles after New Year to start work on the new songs and has less than three days to complete them.

In a message on Twitter, Ed wrote:  "Making some music at the moment, this project is sounding nuts."

The mystery project has sparked speculation that Ed may be teaming up with a big American star, although he has yet to reveal any details.

Ed Sheeran released his debut album '+' in 2011 but has yet to confirm when he will begin working on his second full-length release.

Meanwhile, before travelling to the US the star made a surprise appearance alongside comedian Tom Minchin at a gig in London.
