The 'Bonkers' rapper told Capital FM he and Robbie had a great time "chilling out" in LA together.
Dizzee Rascal has revealed how his new collaboration with Robbie Williams came about, and says when the 'Candy' singer's name came up as an idea it made "total sense".
The 'Scream' rapper opened up to Capital FM about his brand new song 'Goin' Crazy', which features Robbie as a guest vocalist, and says the two had a great time working on the track.
"It's just one of those things. I actually recorded the song a year before, last year in LA," Dizzee exclusively told Capital, about the background to his Robbie team-up. "The producer and the writer of the track is called Tim Anderson, he's in a rock group called I'm A Robot.
"I heard it and I just got excited because it had an indie feel to it and I just felt like that's where music's going to go. I feel like there's going to be a shift in music," he explained.
"Robbie's name came up this year," Dizzee recalled. "And when I heard that I thought, 'Yeah, that makes total sense'. But then he'd only record it as long as I was there, so I had to fly out to his house in LA.
It was brilliant," he added. "We actually only recorded for like an hour, an hour and a half, and the rest of the time we were just chilling!"
