The 'Can't Say No' star says it was "crazy" to be compared to such a successful artist.
Conor Maynard says he has no problem being compared to Justin Bieber and understands why people have likened him to the Canadian pop star.
The 'Can't Say No' singer-songwriter admits that because they both rose to fame on YouTube the comparisons understandable, but feels their differing music styles set them apart as artists.
"I wouldn't complain about being as famous as Justin Bieber, I would not complain at all!" Conor told the Daily Mirror Magazine Celeb supplement. "To be compared to one of the biggest artist in the world before I even released a single was a crazy, crazy thing.
"We're both young and got noticed through YouTube, but the comparisons end there," the 'Drowning' singer explained. "We have different sounds, we're going for very different things."
Last week Conor was announced as a new addition to the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2012 line-up, alongside Rita Ora, Lawson and Cover Drive, and will take to the stage at Wembley Stadium on 9th June alongside other acts like Katy Perry, Usher and Justin Bieber himself.
Conor Maynard is also set to release his debut studio album 'Contrast' on 30th July.
