Cheryl tops the chart with 'Call My Name' fresh from playing Capital's annual event.
Cheryl Cole has taken the number one spot on the Vodafone Big Top 40 less than 24 hours after surprising fans at the Capital FM Summertime Ball yesterday (9th June) at Wembley Stadium.
The 'Parachute' singer released her brand new single 'Call My Name' at midnight and the track has already topped the Big Top 40 as this week's highest new entry.
Fellow Summertime Ball 2012 performer Flo Rida was the week's second biggest new entry with his latest single 'Whistle', which took the number two position, while Gary Barlow is at three with his Diamond Jubilee release 'Sing'.
Last week's Big Top 40 number one Rudimental is at four with 'Feel With Love', while long-time charting Fun. round out the top five with 'We Are Young'.
Dizzee Rascal and DJ Fresh's summer hit' The Power' entered the chart at number 6 this week.
Both Cheryl and Dizzee Rascal were among the surprise performers at yesterday's Summertime Ball, which also saw huge sets from the likes of Katy Perry, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay.
