Royal Baby Born: Cheryl Cole "Can't Wait To See" Prince William And Kate Middleton's Baby Boy

The baby boy was born in London this afternoon, with Pitbull also sending his congratulations on Twitter.

Cheryl Cole has led tributes to Prince William and Kate Middleton after the birth of their first child, a baby boy.

The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to the child, who weighed 8lb 6oz, at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington, west London at 16:24 BST.

Buckingham Palace said Kate and her child were "doing well" and that they would remain in hospital overnight.

Shortly after the announcement tonight, an easel displaying details of the birth was placed outside Buckingham Palace.

The Royal Baby's name has yet to be announced.

Cheryl paid tribute to the couple on Twitter, saying she was happy that their child was "healthy".

She wrote: "Congratulations to William and Kate!! So happy they have a healthy baby and everyone is good. Can't wait to see him now. #Royalbaby."

Pitbull also paid tribute to the Duke and Duchess.

"Congrats to the #UK y Felicidades Prince William and Duchess Kate #itsaboy," he wrote.
