Cheryl Cole On Her Loyal Fans: "I Feel Like I Know Them"

The '3 Words' singer says she likes making an effort to get to know her biggest fans.

Cheryl Cole says she feels like she knows her fans personally now she is able to communicate with them regularly on Twitter. 

The 'Messy Little Raindrops' singer revealed she loves getting to meet her fans out and about, or at events, and finding out about their lives. 

"I just feel like they know me and I know them, especially now with Twitter," Cheryl told Stylist magazine this week. "Is that weird? 

"I did a signing two days ago where I get to see them one-on-one and I was asking them so many questions," she recalled. "They were laughing at me saying it was like I was interviewing them, but I want to make sure I really know them. 

The 'Parachute' singer also spoke about being a fashion icon for her younger fans, and says that, although she doesn't think about it in that way, it's all part of being in the public eye. 

She added: "It's not a conscious thing, but I suppose you're aware that they look to you for inspiration because I did."

Cheryl is expected to launch her third studio album later this year after working with singer Taio Cruz and producer Alex Da Kidd.
