The 'Under The Sun' singer is said to be writing with her friend and fellow former bandmate.
Cheryl Cole has reportedly tasked former Girls Aloud bandmate Nicola Roberts to help her work on music for her new album.
The 'Call My Name' star is starting to write and record songs for her fourth studio outing, and fresh rumours suggest Nicola has been helping her write some new songs.
"This seemed like the perfect opportunity to keep some of the Girls Aloud spirit alive," a source told The Mirror this week. "They'll get to hang out together and make music, their two favourite things to do.
The pair allegedly wanted to work together on Cheryl's last album 'A Million Light's, but Nicola's other work commitments kept the collaboration from happening.

Over the summer Cheryl began teasing fans about a return to the recording studio, after taking much of 2013 so far off to recover from a hectic schedule promoting her last album and Girls Aloud's final tour.
Cheryl Cole is widely expected to return with a new album in 2014.
