The 'Parachute' singer was said to be upset she was forced to cancel her charity duet with Gary Barlow.
Cheryl Cole was "gutted" to have missed her scheduled performance at the Children In Need Rocks concert in Manchester last night (17th November).
The '3 Words' singer had been due to perform a duet with organiser Gary Barlow at the charity event but was forced to drop out earlier this week (15th November) due to illness.
"Cheryl is absolutely gutted she's not here," organiser Gary Barlow told The Sun following the concert. "It was her one big performance of the year.
"I won't tell you what we were going to sing because we might keep it up our sleeves for a performance in the future."
He added: "I didn't want to replace her. That's why I've done something on my own."
Despite Cheryl's absence the concert went ahead as planned with performances from Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Jessie J, JLS and Gary Barlow.
The X Factor head judge also organised this year's Children In Need charity single 'Teardrop' by teaming up with several big artists, including Tulisa Contostavlos, Labrinth, Wretch 32 and Ed Sheeran.
The Collective's charity cover of Massive Attack's 'Teardrop' was officially released this week.
