Britney Spears To Join The X Factor USA?

The 'Criminal' star is apparently a big fan of the show and thinks it would be a perfect time to become a judge.

Britney Spears is reportedly keen on filling one of the vacant judging seats on The X Factor USA following Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul's departure.

The 'Toxic' singer is rumoured to be thinking about throwing her name in the hat because she is a huge fan of the show and ready to dedicate some time to a new project.

A source close to the singer told The Sun: "She's a huge fan of The X Factor and thinks it's the perfect time for her to be a judge. She wants to show her fans she is back to her best and where better to do that than on national TV every week?

"She knows all about the ups and downs of pop fame. And with her schedule relatively clear she has the time to dedicate to a different project."

A music insider added that it would be an ideal role for Britney and would surely put her back on top of the world.

"Britney has had a tough few years but this would put her back at the very top. She would be great for the show and it could be great for her."

Beyonce and Mariah Carey had been rumoured to be lined up for a the judging roles on Simon Cowell's show who earlier this month said he would love to get Katy Perry or Madonna on board.
