Twitter users have been responding with both amazement and anger at claims Beyonce lip-synced her performance at Barack Obama's inauguration in Washington DC.
The singer performed US National Anthem 'The Star Spangled Banner' as Obama was sworn in as president for a second term on Monday (21st January).
Her performance was initially widely praised before reports emerged yesterday (22nd January) that she had actually lip-synced to a pre-recorded version of the song.
The Times newspaper said Beyonce decided shortly before the ceremony that she would use the studio version rather than performing live herself.
