The 'Rolling In The Deep' star's album has been dethroned by the rockers latest effort 'Wrecking Ball'.
Adele's dominance on the US Billboard Top 200 Chart has been haltered by Bruce Springsteen this week.
The 'Set Fire To The Rain' singer was hoping to make it to 24 weeks at the summit of the chart with her second studio album '21' which would have equaled records set by Prince and the soundtrack to the movie Saturday Night Fever.
However, she drops one place into the second spot after Bruce scores his tenth number one album with latest record 'Wrecking Ball'.
Coldplay and Drake saw their latest albums 'Mylo Xyloto' and 'Take Care' respectively rise with Chris Martin and co jumping from 29 to five and the rapper moving one spot from eight into seven.
Meanwhile, one of the writers of Adele's Grammy award winning album - One Republic star Ryan Tedder - is the latest star to join Justin Bieber's new super group which he has put together in the studio alongside Maroon 5's Adam Levine.
