The 'Set Fire To The Rain' star's latest release removes 'We Found Love' after ten weeks at the summit.
Adele has put an end to Rihanna's dominance at the top of the US Billboard Chart with her latest single 'Set Fire To The Rain'.
The Bajan star's Calvin Harris produced hit 'We Found Love' has been at the summit of the American chart for the last ten weeks but has now been overtaken by the British singer.
Adele has been achieving record after record on the chart with her second studio album '21' which last week matched the 'Titanic Soundtrack' for 16 straight weeks at the top.
The singer's album has now also notched up its 17th week in the first place position making it the longest running chart success since Whitney Houston's 'The Bodyguard Soundtrack' in 1992/93.
Meanwhile, Adele is set to make her live UK return at next month's BRIT Awards 2012 at London's O2 Arena.
