The 'Rumour Has It' singer is said to have tasked several new producers to work on her third record.
Adele has reportedly returned to the recording studio for the first time since giving birth last year.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer has widely been tipped to have started writing for her third record in the past few months, and fresh rumours suggest she has formed a "first rate" producing team for the new release.
Adele is said to have teamed up with UK producers and song-writers James Ford and Kid Harpoon, who have worked with the likes of Florence Welch and Jessie Ware in the past.
"Adele wants to move with the times and is trying to make her new record sound as edgy as possible," a source told The Sun this week. 'The team she's assembled is first rate and she's confident they can help match the success of her first two albums.
"It's no easy task as the world will be desperate to hear it," they added.

Last month it was widely rumoured that Robbie Williams is planning to team up with the 'Set Fire To The Rain' star for a collaboration on his next album, believed to be a swing record.
Adele has already had a successful start to the year, after picking up both a Golden Globe and an Oscar for her James Bond theme 'Skyfall'.
