Adele Living In Haunted House?

The 'Set Fire To The Rain' star is reportedly scared of being alone in her new mansion after "hearing things that made her jump" in the night.

Adele is rumoured to have hired security staff for her new £7 Million mansion in Surrey because she is convinced it is haunted.

A close friend of the 'Rolling In The Deep' singer told The Sun that she was "hearing things that made her jump" in the night and doesn't want to be alone in the property.

The friend said: "Adele was so excited to be renting such a lavish property but it has not turned out as happily as it should have.

"She is convinced it is haunted. She knows about its religious history - and it's a big place to be in on your own in the dead of night."

The BRIT Award winning artist is said two have hired a pair of security guards who will man the gates of her new home and doesn't want to take chances with her safety.

"She can see the funny side but she is a sensible girl and knows there is no point taking chances with her safety," added the source.

The 'Someone Like You' singer revealed her mansion to the world during an interview on CBS' 60 Minutes shortly before preparing her comeback performance at the Grammy Awards 2012. 

Meanwhile. Adele recently revealed that she would never leave the UK insisting she was proud to be British.
