The 'Someone Like You' singer and 'Who You are' star Jessie are both up for several gongs at the annual awards ceremony.
Adele, Jessie J and Florence & The Machine are nominated for Best Female at this year's BRIT Awards in London.
Laura Marling, who won the British Female Solo Artist prize last year, is up for the award again alongside veteran star Kate Bush.
Adele's nomination comes a year after the London singer stunned the BRITs with a performance of 'Someone Like You'.
Meanwhile, Jessie J's nomination caps an incredible 12 months – this time last year the 'Who You Are' singer was crowned the 2011 winner of the Critics Choice award.
Voting for all of the categories at this year's BRIT Awards has now opened, including the British Single award, which is voted for by listeners of Capital FM.
Each listener who casts a vote for British Single will be entered into a competition to win a pair of tickets to this year's ceremony.
