The US singer has landed an unknown role on Ryan Murphy's popular musical-comedy series.
Adam Lambert has joined the cast of the hit US musical TV show Glee.
The 'Never Close Our Eyes' singer will star on the show's upcoming fifth season which launches this September on Fox.
"I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is going the cast of Glee this fall," Glee creator Ryan Murphy revealed on Twitter this week.
"I'm so excited!! ;)," Adam himself quickly posted.
The show has yet to announce which new role Adam will take on for the new season, whether he might be playing himself or even how long his stint on Glee will last.

It has already been announced that former series regulars Heather Morris, Mark Salling, Harry Shum Jr. and Amber Riley will only be recurring on a guest star basis for the new season.
Following this news Fox announced that recurring stars Jacob Artist, Blake Jenner, Alex Newell, Becca Tobin and Melissa Benoist will be back as regular stars to round out the show's roster.
Adam Lambert had previously been linked to a potential role joining the judging panel on American Idol later this year.
